Is mobile game-based learning effective for international adults learning Maltese?

Abstract The EULALIA (Enhancing University Language courses with an App powered by game-based learning and tangible user interface activities) project aimed to enhance the methodologies of four university language for Erasmus students in Italy, Malta, Poland Spain developing innovative effective tools based on mobile paradigms use interfaces. This study focuses Malta providing in-depth view impact applications enhancing international adult Maltese as a second (ML2). findings encourage learn ML2 through application aid increasing cultural awareness better communication locals. As part methodology, pre-surveys post-surveys were used test group comprising 28 pre-surveyed 9 post-surveyed learners who app reference 24 23 did not app. results revealed that according participants, improve cognitive function even though more engaged activities, thus could process absorb wider range information. research found have statistically significant effect learners’ proficiency digital skills.
